There’s a certain amount of satisfaction working towards something and finally getting there.
I’ve been chipping away at my editing for many years now, changing settings and starting again, using drastic measures, trying the subtle option, and to this day I’ve never been overly happy with the outcome. Its hard coming from a film background where colours are so different, subtle and based on a print as a final product, where as digital is intense and relies on black.
Well to cut a long story short, I’ve finally hit the nail on the head, and I’m excited that I now have a series of personal edits that do my photography justice……from an artists point of view of course..
So to see it in practice I have pulled out my favorite wedding and re-done all the editing from scratch. There is a huge amount of life in the shots now I think, they look real and rich, the skin looks true to the eye and I can say I am proud of how they look from shoot to show.
Oh and i should re-iterate on the wedding.
These two are what makes weddings a pleasure to photograph. Gorgeous together, madly in love and well when both of them are in tears when they hear each others personal vows, then you cant ask much more than that……..Besides the very average Sydney weather maybe giving me a break for once!!
Smiles all round.
…and Thanks to Chris Prestidge for the beautiful photos of Alecia prior to the wedding. She looks beautiful and he sure captured that.
Enjoy.
