Deus - pronounced 'day-us'.
It’s a Latin word, but its roots lie in the ancient Sanskrit language and is thought to mean ‘divine’ (or god / deity).
For me it conjures up images of something that invokes emotion, a sense of being at home, or being where you’re meant to be.
I’m quite sure this is where Matthew Osborne is meant to be (…that’s me).
I dream and revolve around all that photography is, and can’t think of anything better than having a finished image that I'm proud to showcase and everything this entails from start to finish. I love to tell a story with my camera, especially one that invokes emotions and memories in me and those who view my work. So I tend to shoot in a photojournalistic style, to capture a journey, a tale, a detail, a moment.
Professionally I am available for portraits and model folios. However, I particularly indulge in wedding photography, as this is one of the ultimate story telling experiences for a photographer, and one of the most emotional and divine days in a bride and groom’s life. It is always an amazing experience, without fail.
The world is my studio and this website is my ‘shop window’. All I have to show and offer is here for all to see with a few clicks. I hope you enjoy your visit.
I work mostly in Sydney, in the land of Oz, but have been known to have been dragged up and down the east coast, and even over the seas for special occasions...all in the name of art of course…
