Editing and proofing this wedding has really blown me away.
Mostly because after recently being catapulted into the South of France, into perfect sun, with fields of golden wheat and flower beds extending over hills all the way out to the horizon, walking down ancient cobble stone streets with barely a soul in sight and staying in beautiful antique furnished 15th century manors with ALL of the trimmings that you would think possible………I have come back to a simple, raw and romantic Sydney urban wedding, that at some points whilst I am going through it, gives me goosebumps from its pureness and simplicity.
Yes we all see beauty in different things, and beauty can be simple.
A wedding day really is all about two people in love, joining their lives together into one, either in the way they planned it, for however long they planned it according to their needs, or just the way they wanted it, or sometimes finally just the way it happened on that wonderful day.
No golden fields would change that for these two. They just wanted to be in their beautiful city they love to live in together, and join their lives together because they are in Love.
And that’s what it’s all about for me. What a pleasure to capture.
Here is the story of Craig and Frances told with our cameras, from a fantastic hotel and their home in Darlinghurst to the dark and dramatic but beautiful St. Mary’s Cathedral Crypt, into Hyde Park for dusk and then off to the amazing Quay Restaurant in Sydney…..Wow the food is good there!
Sometimes the simple things in life are often the best.
Jane and I thank Craig and Frances and their families them for letting us capture their wonderful day as it unfolded.
