Engagement sessions, and why I love them

Winter is typically a quieter season for wedding photographers, unless of course you head north for the French summer or the warmer climate of Bali.

Between a scattering of recent weddings, we’ve been discovering the joy of couple & engagement shoots.  We love these sessions because it allows us more creative freedom and less time pressure that sometimes comes with Weddings.

Our clients also love these sessions for various reasons – some order albums or prints from their session to be signed at their wedding by guests, or for their Save the Date invitations.  Others just want to have their relationship captured, sans wedding formalities, in a relaxed environment.  Clients learn how to become more comfortable in front of our cameras, and see how we operate.

Anyway,  I’ve decided I want to do more of them.  It’s really a win – win experience.  To that end, I’m offering a complimentary engagement shoot (usually $650) with each wedding booking made until 30 September 2012.  Just mention this post when you drop me a line.
